EAST ST. LOUIS - A genetic testing company has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging res ipsa loquitur, negligence, and Illinois consumer fraud claims. The lawsuit revolves around a DNA paternity test completed in 1989 that falsely denied a biological relationship between a father and his daughter, leading to the child suffering years of abuse from another man she thought was her father.
