A woman alleges she sustained temporary and permanent injuries when a driver struck her as she was attempting to cross the street.Jenelle Brooks alleges she was crossing Henry Street in Alton in the crosswalk on Oct. 31 when defendant James R. Miller, who was driving his 1997 Chevrolet Conventional Cab west on Landmarks Boulevard, struck her, according to a lawsuit filed Nov. 5 in Madison County Circuit

DarrTwo Alton residents have filed suit against the driver whom they allege disobeyed a traffic signal, causing a collision.According to a complaint filed Nov. 14 in Madison County Circuit Court, Jamie Norman was driving her 1991 Nissan Stanza west on Homer Adams Parkway, with Jonathan Norman as a passenger, and attempted to turn left onto Alby Street on Oct. 2 at 9:24 p.m. Suddenly, defendant Jackson
