Motorcyclist seeks $1 million from trucking company over accident
A Marshall man filed a personal injury suit in federal court in Benton June 26, seeking $1 million in damages from Billman Trucking of New Point, Ind., alleging one of its drivers collided with his motorcycle on Illinois Route 1 on June 27, 2005.

Taxi cab passenger Ellen Teague has filed a personal injury lawsuit against Liberty Cab and its driver in Madison County Circuit Court on June 21. .
Woman alleges hysterectomy was unnecessary
Greenville Regional Hospital Loretta McElroy of Greenville filed a medical malpractice suit against Gayle Burch, M.D. and Greenville Regional Hospital claiming that she unnecessarily underwent a total hysterectomy.
CSX worker claims asbestos exposure
Howard Sturgeon filed a Federal Employers' Liability Act suit in St. Clair County Circuit Court June 16, claiming during his 28 years as a communications technician at CSX Transportation he was exposed to asbestos.

Show-Me's A woman who was injured in a car accident last year filed suit against two popular night clubs for serving alcohol to the driver.

Barge deckhand James Boozer filed a Jones Act suit against the American River Transportation Company in St. Clair County Circuit Court June 19 for an arm, pelvis and heel injury he sustained Dec. 8, 2005 aboard the MV Starfire.
Burroughs firm sues ComEd for unpaid legal bills
The Edwardsville law firm Burroughs, Hepler, Broom, MacDonald, Hebrank and True claims Commonwealth Edison Company failed to pay various legal bills in a lawsuit filed June 20 in Madison County Circuit Court.
