Car passenger files dram shop suit

Show-Me's

A woman who was injured in a car accident last year filed suit against two popular night clubs for serving alcohol to the driver.

Jessica Kastner claims that on June 19, 2005, Show-Me's on Laclede's Landing served alcoholic beverages to Jessica Hubbard causing her intoxication. Kastner also claims Hubbard was served drinks at the Oz nightclub in Sauget later that evening.

According to the complaint, Kastner was a passenger in Hubbard's 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse when she drove the vehicle off the roadway striking a house at 8818 Triple Lakes Road at 5:45 a.m. on June 20, 2005.

Kastner claims the collision with the house caused injuries to her back, shoulder, head, and face including scarring on her right hip and face which required medical care.

She claims her injuries caused mental anguish and great pain, a disability, lost wages and loss of a normal life.

Represented by Steven Katzman of Belleville, Kastner is seeking damages in excess of $300,000, plus all costs of the suit.
