Circuit Judge Dan Stack Madison County Circuit Judge Daniel Stack has reduced a once-heavy national class action suit against American Family Mutual Insurance even further from 17 states down to a trim 12.
Hospital security officer claims age and sex discrimination in federal court
A security officer at Gateway Regional Medical in Granite City filed an age and sexual discrimination lawsuit against her employer in U.S. District Court of Southern Illinois.

Janell Starkey filed a $50,000 personal injury suit against Motel 6 in Caseyville claiming a bathroom mirror fell from the wall and cut her right leg on Aug. 10, 2004.

Faulty mechanics are blamed in a $450,000 lawsuit lodged against U-Haul International in Madison County Circuit Court after a driver crashed the truck during a cross country trip.

A choir member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in DuQuoin filed suit against the church and its pastor, Paul Schultz, accusing him of sexual assault and battery.
