East Alton plaintiff’s attorney Thomas Maag has apparently decided to drop a silly slander lawsuit he filed against Steve Tomaszewski, a former aide to newly-elected Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lloyd Karmeier.
One of the last lawsuits filed in Madison County Circuit Court in 2004 came at the hands of chiropractor Daniel Jones D.C., owner of Bunker Hill Chiropractic Clinic. He filed a class action suit against Sentry Insurance Company Dec. 30, alleging it improperly reduces payouts under medical payment (medpay) coverage.
Madison County Circuit Court's first asbestos case of 2005 was filed by Illinois resident Daisy Gardner, who claims she was diagnosed with mesothelioma on Aug. 10, 2004, after being exposed to asbestos products dating back to 1949.
