EDWARDSVILLE — A banking corporation is suing several borrowers for allegedly breaching a loan agreement.

FortuneBank filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Elvir Muharemovic, et al., alleging they failed to perform their contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between September 2014 and July 2016, it provided several loans to the defendants in exchange for collaterals. FortuneBank alleges the defendants breached the contracts, causing the plaintiff to incur damages in the sum of $78,635.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to make payments in a timely manner and failed to deliver or surrender the collaterals.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order awarding the plaintiff the immediate possession of the collaterals, plus all damages, costs, attorney's fees and any further relief as the court deems just and proper. It is represented by Shawn T. Briner and Mary W. Giles of Briner Law Group LLC in Chesterfield.
