Bread delivery at school results in personal injury suit

Sharon Carroll filed a personal injury suit against Lewis Bakeries in Madison County Circuit Court March 3 seeking damages in excess of $100,000 claiming she sustained injuries after tripping over a delivery ramp at the Grigsby Middle School in Granite City on March 8, 2004.

Karmeier's 'Avery' vote won't be heard by U.S. Supreme Court

Appellate court affirms Mendelsohn, reduces damages

The Fifth District Appellate Court has affirmed a Madison County verdict in favor of a woman whose car was wrongfully repossessed, but modified the judgment by reducing punitive damages from $500,000 to $225,000.
