Derrick Ketchum, an employee of Owens Brockway Glass Container in Godfrey, filed a 12-count, $600,000 suit against his employer and Castrol Inc. claiming he was sickened from exposure to Syntilo 9918 and other “metal working fluids.”

Wood River WalMart Mega retailer Wal-Mart is being sued by a customer who injured herself during an encounter with a "foreign substance" on the floor of a Wood River store.
Church and its director sued over destroyed property
5300 Hallows Avenue in Washington Park Calvert Nichols and the New Path Christian Church were targets of Robert “Bobby” Menard--former owner of the once popular, now defunct Bobby's nightclub--in a lawsuit filed May 13 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

SLU Travis Rife filed a medical malpractice lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court May 18 against St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital, Michael Scott, M.D. Southern Illinois Surgical Associates, Rodney Miller, M.D. and St. Louis University Hospital seeking damages in excess of $350,000.
Rusty's Restaurant named in Madison County suit
Rusty�s on North Main in Edwardsville An Edwardsville restaurant was named in a breach of contract lawsuit filed by Middendorf Holdings on May 23 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Rights violation alleged in suit against Caseyville cop
Charles Hollis Jr. of Granite City claims Caseyville police officer Steve Epps violated his constitutional rights and beat him when he was arrested near Cahokia on May 14, 2004.
