EDWARDSVILLE — An entertainment company alleges My Brothers Place owes it more than $91,000 after a fire destroyed the plaintiff's gaming terminals.

Accel Entertainment Gaming LLC filed a complaint on April 13 in the Madison County Circuit Court against My Brothers Place Inc., alleging it breached its duty to exercise due care for the safety of plaintiff's gaming terminals.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct 12, 2012, it agreed to provide various video gaming terminals to the defendant. On Sept. 16, 2016, the defendant's property experienced fire, causing damage to the plaintiff's video gaming terminals in the amount of $91,253.38.

The plaintiff alleges My Brothers Place failed to provide adequate electrical components and failed to properly install them to prevent electrical breakdown.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $91,253.38, plus costs, interest, and all other relief deemed proper and just.

The plaintiff is represented by David I. Ahlheim and Yvette M. Boutaugh of Childress Ahlheim Cary LLC in St. Louis.
