BENTON – A Missouri company that manufactures press fittings claims a United Kingdom company makes a similar product that infringes its patents.
RSL LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois against Conex Universal LTD, alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the patent owner of the 9,145,992 and the 9,638,361 patents, which concern press-to-connect fittings used for high-pressure connections in the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's >B< MaxiPro fittings infringes its patented designs.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction enjoining the defendant from infringing the ’992 and the ’361 patents, award for damages, plus interest, attorneys’ fees, costs and all other just and proper relief.
