A St. Clair County woman and a passenger in her vehicle are suing the owner of construction company for negligence in a car crash involving his company car.
Rita Curtis and Charles Bailey filed a lawsuit on Oct. 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Bruce Holland and Holland Construction Services Inc.
According to the complaint, Holland was speeding and otherwise negligent while operating a vehicle owned by Holland Construction when it struck the car in which the plaintiffs were traveling on Dec. 20, 2013. Curtis and Bailey both suffered internal and external injuries in the crash causing pain and anguish and preventing them from conducting their normal duties.
Curtis and Bailey seek damages of more than $50,000. They are represented by attorneys Kenneth B. Beljanski and Trest S. West of Brown & Brown of Fairview Heights.
