A man claims he suffered neck, shoulder and back injuries after a driver failed to yield and struck his vehicle.
Mickey Emmons filed a lawsuit Sept. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court against Beverly Hickman.
In his complaint, Emmons alleges he drove north on Godfrey Road in Godfrey on June 7, 2013, at about 12:50 p.m. when Hickman, who was driving west in the parking lot of Motomart, collided with his vehicle.
In addition to his injuries, Emmons was hindered from attending to his normal duties, incurred medical costs and lost large sums of money that would have otherwise accrued to him, according to the complaint.
Emmons blames Hickman for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield to Emmons’s vehicle.
In his complaint, Emmons seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
