A Collinsville woman says she was hurt when she slipped on a wet floor in the dairy section of Walmart.
Antoinette Ritchie filed a lawsuit May 28 in Madison County Circuit Court against Walmart Stores East Inc. and Walmart Stores Inc.
Ritchie says she was shopping at Walmart on Collinsville Crossing Boulevard in July 2011 when she slipped on a liquid in front of a milk display case. She accuses the store of negligence for failing to clean the wet floor or warn customers about the dangerous condition.
Ritchie asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and costs of the lawsuit.
She is represented by attorneys Todd W. Sivia of Edwardsville and Reiad M. Khouri of St. Louis. They ask for a jury trial.
