A Glen Carbon Walgreens is being sued after one of its customers allegedly slipped and fell on a wet floor.
Sophrona Ranson filed a lawsuit April 8 in Madison County Circuit Court against Walgreen Company.
Ranson was a customer of the Cottonwood Road Walgreens in December 2011, according to the lawsuit, and slipped on a wet floor while walking down an aisle. Ranson says her left leg was hurt in the fall.
She accuses the store of negligence for allegedly failing to clean up the substance or warn customers of the dangers of the wet floor.
Ranson asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.
Attorney David A. Nester of Belleville represents her.
