Xerox accuses Digital Technology Solutions of failing to pay copier lease

The Xerox Corporation claims a Belleville company owes more than $51,000 on an unpaid copy machine lease.

Xerox Corporation filed a lawsuit against Digital Technology Solutions Inc. on Feb. 14 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Xerox agreed to lease a large copy machine to Digital Technology Solutions beginning in July 2009, according to the complaint. The New York company says it provided the machine, as agreed, and met all obligations under the lease. Xerox, however, says Digital Technology Solutions has failed to make the required lease payments.

Xerox says it has made repeated demands for payment. The company says the defendant now owes $51,994. Xerox is asking to be awarded the full amount owed plus court costs and other relief the Court deems equitable and just.
