A Madison County woman is suing a St. Clair County man after she was injured in a vehicle crash.
Tamara Beard filed a lawsuit Jan. 29 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Robert A. Horton, citing negligence.
The lawsuit states Beard was driving east on St. Clair Avenue on July 13, and had stopped at a stoplight when Horton crashed into her car. Horton was speeding and driving drunk, according to the complaint. Beard sustained injuries that required extensive medical care, the complaint states.
Beard is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages.
She is being represented by Kevin Sullivan of Sauter Sullivan LLC.
