The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois reported the following activity on Feb. 28 in the suits below:

In Dunkley against Afscme: 'Sborder Regarding Plaintiff's Motion For Defendant To Provide The Home Addresses Of Witnesses Employed By The State Of Illinois Under Seal (doc. 339) And Defendant's Response To That Motion (doc. 343). In The Motion, Plaintiff Indicates The Addresses Are Necessary To Accurately Calculate The Amount Due To Witnesses For Travel On The Date Of Trial. Plaintiff Previously Made This Same Request, And Defendant Indicated To The Court That It Would Provide Plaintiff With The Work Addresses Of The Requested Witnesses For Purposes Of Serving Subpoenas. However, Defendant Never Did So, Presumably Because The Case Was Referred To Mandatory Mediation By The Court. Therefore, The Court Directed Defendant To Respond To Plaintiff's Motion, Addressing Whether It Still Intended To Disclose The Witnesses' Work Addresses And Whether It Believed Said Addresses Were Sufficient For Purposes Of Serving Subpoenas On The Witnesses. Now, In Its Response, Defendant Clarifies That It Is Prepared To Accept Service On Behalf Of The Eight Proposed Witnesses Employed By Idhs. Defendant Indicates The Relevant Subpoenas For Those Witnesses Should Be Served Upon Rory Cannon, Assistant General Counsel, Illinois Department Of Human Services, 100 South Grand Avenue, Springfield, Illinois 62762. Defendant Notes It Cannot Accept Service For The Six Nonemployee-witnesses. In Light Of The Representations Contained In Defendant's Response, Plaintiff's Motion Is Denied. Signed By Judge David W. Dugan On 2/28/2023. (jnh)this Text Entry Is An Order Of The Court. No Further Documentation Will Be Mailed. (entered: 02/28/2023)'
