John Hanson appointed Madison County Bar Association president

HeplerBroom associate John Hanson, of Edwardsville, was appointed as the 89th president of the Madison County Bar Association.

Hanson was installed to his new position during the annual meeting on May 25. 

Additional board members that took office at the meeting include Chad Richter of Mathis Marifian and Richter as first vice president; Micah Summers of Walton Telken as second vice president; Leigh Perica of McCune Law Group as treasurer; Meghan Kane of Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice as recording secretary; Dillon Borri of Heyl Royster as corresponding secretary; and assistant state’s attorney Rebecca Buettner as immediate past-president. 

The Madison County Bar Association was founded in 1926. Its purpose is to “cultivate the science of jurisprudence, promote reform in the law, facilitate the administration of justice, and improve public perception of the legal profession through public outreach and service,” according to a press release.
