The vacancy of retired Madison County circuit judge Richard Tognarelli has been posted, according to a release from the Illinois Supreme Court.
Applications must be received in Supreme Court Justice David Overstreet’s office by Thursday, March 11.
To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of Madison County at the time of the appointment. The applicant must also be admitted to practice law in Illinois and be in good standing with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission or any other respective disciplinary body.
The term of office will conclude the first Monday in December following the November 2022 general election.
