BELLEVILLE —A man is suing his insurance provider for allegedly failing to pay for a claim he submitted.
Jordan R. Lewis filed a complaint on May 6 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Allstate Insurance Company, alleging breach of contract.
The suit states that Lewis was involved in a collision on Jan. 19, 2017. Following the crash, Lewis filed a claim with his insurer, Allstate Insurance Company. However, he claims the defendant has delayed and refused to pay his claim.
The plaintiff is seeking damages including $100,000 and $60,000 in statutory damages, costs and other damages deemed fit. The plaintiff is representing himself pro se.
