BELLEVILLE — A truck driver suing a chemical company, alleging she tripped and fell when she stepped into a pothole.
Gendra Davis filed a complaint May 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Afton Chemical Corporation, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Davis was operating a tractor trailer on the Afton Chemical property in Sauget on May 23, 2017. Davis alleges that when she exited the cab of her truck, she stepped into a pothole in the pavement, causing her to fall and suffer serious injuries, disfigurement and medical expenses.
Davis seeks court costs and relief in excess of $50,000. She is represented by attorney Kevin Boyne of Belleville.
