EDWARDSVILLE —A woman is suing her husband alleging he attacked her.
Brittany Corzine filed a complaint on April 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Nicholas Corzine alleging violation of the Illinois Gender Violence Act.
The suit states that the plaintiff was caused offensive and physical assault by her husband on June 5, 2017 when he attacked her by slamming her head into the steering wheel.
As a result, Brittany Corzine claims she suffered bruising and emotional damages.
The plaintiff is seeking attorneys' fees, court costs and more than $50,000 in relief. The plaintiff is represented by Peter J. Maag of Maag Law Firm LLC in Wood River.
