BELLEVILLE — A Belleville man is suing Phillips 66, alleging he was terminated after filing for worker's compensation.

Joshua Buehlhorn filed a complaint March 25 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Phillips 66 Company, Travis Wilke and URS Corporation, alleging retaliatory discharge.

The suit states Buehlhorn was an employee of URS on Aug. 22, 2012, working as a subcontractor at the defendants' refinery in Wood River. The plaintiff claims he sustained injures in a job-related incident and filed for worker's compensation.

The plaintiff alleges he was terminated from his position and banned from working at the defendant's plant due to his worker's compensation request.

Buehlhorn seeks judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the suit. He is represented by attorney Grey Chatham of Chatham and Baricevic in Belleville.
