EDWARDSVILLE — A customer is suing an Edwardsville nail salon, alleging she was caused to slip and fall due to a dangerous condition.
Cindy Walters filed a complaint March 19 in Madison County Circuit Court against SM Properties LLC, DK Nails Spa Salon Inc., DK Nails & Spa LLC, Lena Thai, individually and doing business as DK Nails & Spa and Ricky Le, alleging negligence.
The suit states Walters was at the defendant's nail salon located at 2212 Troy Road in Edwardsville on March 24, 2017. Walters alleges she was being shown to a portion of the property by one of the defendant's employees when she slipped and fell. Walters claims she was following the employee and was unable to keep her eyes on the ground where there was a dangerous condition present.
The plaintiff alleges she suffered internal and external injuries.
The suit alleges the defendants failed to fix the hazardous situation.
Walters seeks complete and full compensation in excess of $50,000 and all other fit relief. She is represented by attorney Micah Summers of Walton Telken LLC in Edwardsville.
