Driver sues over Bloomington collision

Lawsuits
Car accident 19

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a Bloomington crash.

Jennifer L. Hartman filed a complaint on Jan. 7 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Bryan S. Tabb alleging the driver negligently drove his vehicle at an excessive speed.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 11, 2017, she was traveling east on Veterans Parkway at its intersection with Morris Avenue in Bloomington when the defendant collided with her vehicle.

Hartman claims she sustained injuries to her neck, back and shoulders.

The plaintiff alleges Tabb failed to keep proper lookout, failed to obey a traffic signal and failed to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, costs and all further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Rodney D. Caffey of The Caffey Law Firm in Godfrey.
