EDWARDSVILLE — A St. Louis man is suing a labor services company after he allegedly tripped and fell at an Edwardsville facility.

Terrence M. Bey filed a complaint Dec. 24 in Madison County Circuit Court against Elite Labor Services Ltd, alleging failure to protect its employees against unreasonable risk of harm.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 3, Bey was in the course and scope of his employment with Elite Labor in Edwardsville when he slipped on a broken wooden pallet and fell on the concrete floor. He claims he sustained injuries to the lower back, upper buttocks, left elbow, left wrist and heel of his palm.

The plaintiff alleges Elite Labor Services failed to remove the broken wooden pallet and failed to give adequate warning of the existing danger.

Bey seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of $52,000 and all other just and reasonable relief. He is representing himself.
