BELLEVILLE — A Caseyville man is suing Alorton law enforcement officials, alleging false arrest and false imprisonment.
Ian Johnson filed a complaint Dec. 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against the Village of Alorton, detective Phillip Brooks and police chief Gerald Crenshaw, alleging the defendants intentionally interfered with his constitutional rights.
According to the complaint, Johnson claims he was falsely arrested and detained by the Alorton Police Department on Dec. 10, 2016. Johnson alleges he has suffered severe emotional distress and mental anguish.
