Car accident 17

BELLEVILLE — A mother and her daughter allege a motorist turned in front of their vehicle, causing a collision.

Shanitra Bradley and Maaleah Colper filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Akrevious Garner, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 10, 2016, Bradley and Colper were in a vehicle near the intersection of Route 161 and Sullivan Drive. They claim Garner turned in front of their vehicle and caused a collision.

The plaintiffs claim they suffered bodily injuries resulting in pain and suffering, which required medical treatment.

The plaintiffs hold Garner responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield and failed to operate the vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs and all other relief that is fair and reasonable. They are represented by Jeremy A. Gogel of The Gogel Law Firm in St. Louis.
