BELLEVILLE — A motorist is suing a driver for allegedly causing a Collinsville collision.
Rebecca Duncan filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Sandra Zotz, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 16, 2016, Zotz caused a collision on Bluff Road just north of Bellevue Drive in Collinsville.
Duncan claims she suffered injuries to her back, shoulder, and head.
The plaintiff holds Zotz responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, negligently drove her vehicle at a speed greater than was reasonable and failed to reduce speed or stop her vehicle to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the equitable sum of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Michael P. Glisson and Timothy J. Chartrand of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson in Alton.
