Motorist alleges injuries from rear-end collision

By Angelica Saylo Pilo | Dec 10, 2018

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a rear-end collision.

Dawn White filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Pamela Bauer, alleging she breached her duty to exercise due care and caution.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 9, 2016, she was lawfully operating her vehicle when Bauer's vehicle rear-ended the plaintiff.

White claims she suffered injuries to her head and neck. She also claims she endured pain and suffering, anxiety and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds Bauer responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep proper lookout and failed to reduce speed or stop to avoid the collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Edward W. Unsell, Fred Patrick Schuman and Joshua R. Evans of The Unsell Law Firm PC in East Alton, IL.
