EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing a driver and his employer for allegedly causing a Bethalto collision.
Nicola Batista filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in Madison County Circuit Court against Thomas Reinick, GJ Enterprise and G & J Holdings Inc.
According to the complaint, Reinick rear-ended the plaintiff's vehicle on Illinois Route 140 in Bethalto.
Batista claims she suffered injuries to her head, neck and back, the complaint states.
The plaintiff alleges the driver failed to keep proper lookout and avoid colliding with the plaintiff's vehicle.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in an equitable sum of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson in Alton.
