BELLEVILLE — A customer claims a bone in her chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A left her with permanent tooth damage.

Gabrielle K. Ludwig filed a complaint on Oct. 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Chick-Fil-A Inc. and Here to Serve LLC.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff bit into a piece of bone in a chicken sandwich prepared at the chain's Fairview Heights location. The bone chipped her tooth and she required dental surgery, the complaint states.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly prepare boneless chicken sandwiches without a bone.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Eric J. Carlson of Byron Carlson Petri & Kalb LLC in Edwardsville.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 18-L-641
