EDWARDSVILLE — A passenger is suing two drivers for allegedly causing a collision that resulted in injuries.

Sharon Harris filed a complaint on Oct. 9 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Henry I. Kennedy, Stephen A. Billups and Client First Medical Transportation Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 9, 2016, she was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Billups traveling northbound on the off Ramp of 55. They were approaching the intersection with North Bluff Road in Collinsville when Kennedy, who was driving a vehicle owned by Client First, rear-ended Billups' vehicle.

As a result, Harris claims she sustained injuries to her neck, back, leg and chest.

The plaintiff alleges Billups and Kennedy failed to exercise reasonable care in operating their vehicles and failed to take evasive actions to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Chet A. Kelly of Law Offices of Foley & Kelly LLC in Belleville.
