Car accident 06

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist and a passenger are suing another driver for allegedly causing an Alton collision.

Jack McEuen and Christina Jack McEuen filed a complaint on Sept. 21 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Ahmed Abdullh, alleging he failed to exercise reasonable care for the safety of the community.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 30, 2016, the McEuens were traveling south on Broadway Connector and was stopped at or near its intersection with Landmarks Boulevard in Alton when the defendant's vehicle collided with their vehicle.

As a result, the plaintiffs allege they sustained severe and permanent injuries and damages both externally and internally.

The plaintiffs hold Abdullh responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep adequate lookout and failed to act reasonably at the first appearance of danger.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs. They are represented by Kenneth B. Beljanski and Jaye R. Lindsay of Brown & Brown LLP in Fairview Heights.
