BELLEVILLE — A construction worker claims she was injured when she stepped into a hole while working.

Tammy Bass filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Hank's Excavation and Landscaping Inc., St. Clair Nissan Inc and Auffenberg Dealer Group Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was injured while cleaning at a job site when she stepped into a hole. She claims she sustained severe and permanent injuries to her back, shoulder, knee and body, the complaint states.

She alleges the companies failed to fill the hole or provide a warning.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Gregory L. Shevlin of Cook, Bartholomew, Shevlin & Cook LLP in Belleville.
