EDWARDSVILLE — A Granite City resident alleges injuries following a collision with a city employee.
Dianne Taylor filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in Madison County Circuit Court against the Granite City and Derek Mangiaracino. Taylor alleges the city negligently entrusted its truck a careless driver.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was stopped at an ATM at the intersection of West First Street and Niedringhaus Avenue when the truck driven by Mangiaracino struck the rear of her vehicle.
She claims she suffered injuries resulting in pain and suffering, loss of earnings, disfigurement and mental anguish.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of over $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Robert C. Cook and N. Ryan Mayfield of the Law Offices of Roderick C. White in St. Louis.
