EDWARDSVILLE — A Collinsville restaurant faces a lawsuit over a woman's fall on the property.
Jeanne Belman filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in Madison County Circuit Court against Steffi's Bar & Grill Corporation, which does business as Trackside Bar & Grill.
According to the complaint, Belman fell down at the restaurant's wheelchair ramp. She alleges the ramp was too steep and did not have handrails. She also claims the ramp was slippery from gravel and asphalt chips. Belman claims she suffered extensive injuries to her right leg, ankle, lower extremities and other parts of the body.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by Robert H. Pedroli and Daniel J. Gauthier of Pedroli & Gauthier in Clayton.
