BELLEVILLE — The owner of St. Clair Square alleges its tenants violated a lease agreement.
St. Clair Square SPE LLC filed a complaint on July 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Capital Candy LLC, Terence Crouch and David Robinson.
According to the complaint, the tenants stopped operating their business in February, even though the lease agreement requires "continuous operation." St. Clair Square accelerated the rent on the space and contend the tenants owe more than $511,000.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and damages for the rent due, plus interest and legal fees. The company is represented by David O. Kreuter of Kreuter & Gordon in Creve Coeur.
