BELLEVILLE — A crash involving an underage driver prompted a lawsuit against the vehicle's owner.

Rachelle F. Liner filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Janet R. Greenlee.

According to the complaint, Greenlee allowed a minor without a driver's license to drive her vehicle. That minor crashed into Liner's vehicle in East St. Louis. Liner claims she sustained serious injuries to her neck, left shoulder and back.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by Rodney D. Caffey and Ralph J. Mendelson of The Caffey Law Firm in Godfrey.
