EDWARDSVILLE — An injured driver blames another motorist for allegedly causing a crash on Seiler Road in Godfrey.

Donald Taul filed a complaint on Aug. 13 in Madison County Circuit Court against Alexander W. Davis, alleging the driver did not exercise caution while operating his vehicle.

According to the complaint, Davis slammed into the back of Taul's Chevrolet Silverado truck at a stop sign on Seiler Road in Godfrey. Taul suffered injuries to his back and neck, the complaint states.

Taul claims Davis failed to reduce speed upon coming up on the intersection and negligently operated his vehicle while distracted.

Taul requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by Matthew B Champlin of Heplerbroom law firm in Edwardsville.
