By Angelica Saylo Pilo | Aug 8, 2018

BELLEVILLE— A customer accuses a local Target store of negligence after he allegedly tripped and fell on an uneven walkway.

Lawrence M. Butler Sr. filed a complaint on July 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Target Department Stores and Aciterra Companies, alleging they allowed the area outside their store to remain in a dangerous condition.

According to the complaint, Butler tripped over an uneven raised concrete walkway right by the store's exit. Butler claims he sustained injuries to his back, neck, knee and ankle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment of more than $50,000. He is represented by Joslyn R. Anthony of Sandifer Purchase, Attorneys at Law in Belleville.
