Car accident 16

BELLEVILLE — A motorist claims she was injured in a rear-end collision on Interstate 64.

Wendy Zeller filed a complaint on June 15 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Robert W. Roland and Sunrise Transport LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 26, 2016, Roland was driving a commercial motor vehicle within the course and scope of his employment with Sunrise when he rear-ended Zeller's vehicle on Interstate 64.

Zeller claims she suffered severe and permanent injuries to her neck and spine and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Roland failed to reduce speed due to traffic ahead, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to take remedial actions to avoid a collision. She also alleges Sunrise failed to implement adequate safety programs.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus interest, costs and all other relief deemed proper and just.

She is represented by Shaun M. Lieser and W. Alex Lamb of Lieser Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
