EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County woman brought a lawsuit against another local motorist over a crash on Interstate 55.
Catherine M. Hart filed the complaint on July 2 in Madison County Circuit Court against Coty D. Johnson, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care and caution while driving.
According to the complaint, Johnson hit Hart from behind while the drivers exited the interstate. Johnson allegedly failed to keep his vehicle under proper control or reduce his speed to avoid collision. Hart says she suffered severe injuries and expensive medical treatments.
Hart seeks a jury trial and damages of more than $50,000. She is represented by Steven Giacoletto of Giacoletto Law Firm in Collinsville.
