EDWARDSVILLE – A woman alleges she was injured at a Granite City storage unit when a door fell on her.

Allayna C. Carnahan filed a complaint on June 20 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Ace Ventures LLC, doing business as Ace Storage, and Margo McKinney alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2017, she was at defendants' place of business when a broken retractable door fell on her head, causing her injury.

The plaintiff holds Ace Ventures LLC and McKinney responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff of the defective door and failed to secure the door in her storage unit.

The plaintiff seeks damages of no less than $50,000, plus costs of this action.

She is represented by John H. Hustava of John H. Hustava PC in Collinsville and Bruce L. Mattea of The Mattea Law Firm in Collinsville.
