EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County woman is suing a driver who allegedly slammed into the rear of her car on I-55 in June 2016.
Katherine Baumgartner filed a complaint on June 13 in Madison County Circuit Court against Henry G. Gallegos, alleging he failed to keep his vehicle under proper control.
In the complaint, Baumgartner alleges that on June 23, 2016, Gallegos was driving too fast and following too closely, causing a rear-end collision.
As a result, the plaintiff claims she suffered injuries to her head, face, nose, left shoulder, neck, ribs, lumbar spine, back and right leg because of Gallegos' actions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs.
