Woman claims injuries after Belleville crash

Car accident 16

BELLEVILLE — A woman claims other drivers' failure to be attentive resulted in a collision in Belleville.

Sharon Spearman filed a complaint May 11 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Suttachit Cholsakorn and Corey Hemsath, alleging they failed to exercise reasonable care for the safety of other motorists.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 6, 2016, she was traveling east on Green Mount Commons Drive when Hemsath signaled to Cholsakorn that he could pull his vehicle onto the road as the plaintiff was approaching.

Spearman claims she suffered injuries that caused pain, suffering and disability from the resulting collision. She also claims she incurred medical expenses and lost income.

The plaintiff holds Cholsakorn and Hemsath responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for actual damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs herein expended.

She is represented by Kevin Boyne of Kevin Boyne PC in Belleville.
