BELLEVILLE — Shiloh property owners claim a contractor failed to properly complete a project.

Satyen and Dee Patel filed a complaint May 2 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Dane Thebeau, doing business as Thebeau Outdoor Services, alleging he failed to perform work in a good and workmanlike manner.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in March 2017 the defendant agreed to construct and install a driveway and pool patio on the plaintiff's property. However, they claim the defendant failed to complete the work and caused other damages.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant carelessly performed work in a manner that allowed damage to other areas and failed to complete the new driveway and pool patio, requiring the plaintiffs to pay for repairs despite a guarantee.

The plaintiffs seek a judgment against the defendant of more than $50,000, attorney fees, costs, interest and all other relief deemed proper and just.

They are represented by Matthew P. Young of Kuehn, Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
