IDC to hold Law Day event May 4 at Wildey Theater; This year's theme: 'separation of powers'

The Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel will celebrate Law Day on May 4 with a judges' panel discussing issues related to separation of powers and the role the judicial branch plays in enforcing and upholding the law.

Three topics that will be addressed include:

-Expectations from the judicial branch: What judges expect from attorneys, witnesses, jurors and the media who enter the courtroom

The event will be held at the Wildey Theatre, located at 252 N. Main St. in Edwardsville.

Registration begins at 2 p.m. The panel discussion starts at 2:30 and will be followed by a reception that begins at 4 p.m. The event is free.
