BELLEVILLE — A woman claims she was struck by a motorist while standing inside a Shiloh garage.
Elizabeth Malesky filed a complaint on March 14 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Melinda Erlinger alleging she failed to exercise due care to avoid colliding with the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 9, 2017, she was standing inside the garage located at Christine Drive in Shiloh. While backing into the garage, the defendant allegedly struck the plaintiff.
As a result, Malesky claims she received injuries to her neck, back, left shoulder and left hip.
The plaintiff alleges Erlinger failed to keep proper lookout and failed to stop to avoid hitting the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit.
